Florida woman leads police on a slow pursuit through a golf course before arrest

What were the odds?

A woman led police on a chase through a Florida golf course.

Samantha Michaels, 36, led police through four courses along the scenic links of Jupiter Golf Club in Florida on Sunday.

A Jupiter police officer followed her vehicle through the course, before she exited at Broken Sound Boulevard.

She was pulled over at a sign for a bike path and was transported to nearby Jupiter Medical Center in an ambulance.

She was arrested and charged with resisting an officer with violence, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, and resisting an officer without violence.

She is also facing an outstanding warrant for stealing a Volkswagen and the vandalism of a Chrysler minivan, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

“Although the story sounded like it was a made up story, reality check. It did take place… being on the green,” driver Shawn Rothmund told WPTV.

She left behind one outstanding warrant in Texas and faces extradition to Florida, police said.
